Alright, recently in certain games (oblivion) i have been getting low fps more frequently. I have a geforce 6800gs, which should easily be able to run it. but... i have a amd athlon 64 3000+ at a frequency rate of 2.0 ghz.
now ive been looking to upgrade, because i know that future games will only lag more and more. Ive been looking at two processors in the socket 754 platform, the 3400+ and the 3700+. Im thinking the 3400+ because newegg doesnt even sell the 3700+ anymore. but from what ive seen it is only like $30-50 more. but the only place i can find it cheap and under $250 is ebay, which i dont feel safe buying from. Now all that i would like to know is if the 3400+ will even make my games run any better, and if I will be able to tell the difference from the 3400+ to the 3700+.
No one tell me its ram because i have 1.5 gigs, which should be fine
