Building (more so upgrading) a rig for a mate and he's given me an ample budget but he also has components from his old rig that I can use and after getting the other upgrades he's got £150 left on a GPU but said he will stretch to £170 if needs be and with the prices of AMD's cards sky rocketing and nVidia lines being a bit on the pricey side ( cheapest GTX 760 I can find is http://www.dabs.com/products/zotac-geforce-gtx-760-993mhz-2gb-pci-express-3-0-hdmi-8SMR.html?utm_source=awin&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_content=AW00&awc=3044_1389006369_96cfd3476895c7f0b9d330477b3e461e £172 ) Him and I are having a hard time deciding so any help would be appreciated and so would bench marks.

Yeah we'd narrowed it down to them 2 cards but he's not to pleased with the performance a 270x gives for the price (we're both blaming this on Litecoin and Bitcoin) and I have tried to convince him that stock blower coolers are good enough otherwise the wouldn't be the reference coolers but he's not the easiest customer to please and I can't go behind his back and order the GTX 760 because it's his money but I'll keep telling him the same thing that a GTX 760 with a stock cooler is plenty good enough for the money!

I will it's just he's hard to please it's not like when the HD 4850 (what he currently has) came out and it was destroying all the other cards in it's price bracket I'm trying to get across to him it's a very different now with Litecoin and Bitcoin driving the AMD prices up , alas I will keep trying to sway him towards the GTX 760
