I'm trying to decide which gpu is best for gaming and works with my screen resolution .. money isn't a problem so based on actual performance .. I want the highest fps possible, I don't mind SLI or Crossfire either if two of a gpu is better than a single unit

EDIT: I don't know much about computers, so nobody hurt me with with words xD

I'm really new to all this computer stuff, but I know I can answer that I'm going to be keeping this screen for a long time. I do not know what an AA is and I want to try and play more games, but right now I really can't do much so I just want to know which gpu can run max setting on pretty much any game.

The system is a total overkill for gaming and for this resolution even more...you would not even notice the performance of it on low resolution and your monitor wont have enough hertz to show the fps.

@Smiweeb beast build indeed but if you want to save some cash, id rather recommend i5 4670K with Asus Z87 pro mobo (you need a new mobo if you go with 4th gen i5's and i7's like 4670K and 4770K) go with 2x4=8GB ram and samsung 840 pro 256GB SSD and use this savings to buy a new 1080p monitor. and get a R9-280X with the monitor.
oh and change the PSU to a Seasonic SII 12 620W.

EDIT: I think if you give us an accurate budget we will be able to make a build with a 1440P monitor.

If you are going for a build like that, I would say you would want at least a GTV 770 or R9 280x.

If you want to future proof more then I would suggest a GTX 780 or a R9 290x however ive heard that the R9 290x cards run really hot so I don't know if that would be a good choice.

If you want to go all out best graphics card you can get, then get a 780ti, That's what I have and I love it, Pretty much every game runs maxed out above 60fps!

haha, I rarely get to see my girlfriend because of school and work, but if you can please tell me which models you stated go to which part. Like I previously stated, I'm really new to all this.

You could achieve a better setup when somebody is choosing the parts and you can get a monitor too for this price, with this resolution it is not worth because you wont need that setup and you wont see its potential with low resolution.

This being said, would you (or someone else reading/helping) like to choose the parts for me ? and give explanation on why .. and if anyone does this please note I do plan on getting another monitor (no resolution selected, so options away!)

Nice build, good composition and the monitor would be a candy for the eyes. If you dont plan to overclock yourself you dont need a K version CPU and for the start you wont need to do it because the system will give enough performance.

Is the i5 better than the i7 ? Why do people recommend that so much instead of a latest version ? well, I assume the i7 is the latest version compared to the i5 .. and also, how much fps would I be getting around with that GPU ?

People recommend the i5 because is $100 less than the i7 and perform just the same for gaming.

More technically speaking, the i5 and the i7 are the same processor but the i7 has hyperthreading that basically make each of its cores capable of taking two processing threads, essentially doubling its cores. Now, most games won't take advantage of the extra cores, thus rendering this feature useless.

I don't mind buying another monitor .. I'll just use two monitors. I just like this one because it was a gift from my step-dad and he usually doesn't support me gaming so it was nice. lol
