I'd really like an answer to this too.

The default answer has always been to use Radeon Pro or Quadro, I wish people would stop doing this - it's a corporate marketing line and the reality is I've never heard of anyone having an issue on a Geforce card. Videocardbenchmark shows an "equivalent" performance between the Geforce 3070 and a Quadro 6000. One is 650USD (inflated) and the other is 6300USD. When I manage to catfish Elon Musk, don't worry, I'm buying everyone Quadros, but in the meantime for 9/10 home users they're just out of budget.

With the release of Geforce 30XX and Radeon 6XXX series we have actual options on the table and I'd like the oppurtunity to make an educated decision on what to buy.

I guess professional users aren't a big demographic but could anyone please shine some light one the OP's question? For the sake of argument let's assume infinite CPU clock speed.
