Best GPU for 500w PSU?

My current psu is an Approx 500w psu and my gpu is the GT430 3gb. I am saving up for a new pc but in the meantime I want a decent gpu +/- 100 euros for general gaming (mobas, mmos etc) amd and nvidia are both acceptable. Is the Asus GeForce GTX650 1GB DirectCU Top OC a good choice? And if not what would you recommend?

For around 100-110 Euro you could find a 7790 which performs better than a 7770 and only uses 5w more of power so should be fine with your psu. In my opinion you should look at amd rather than nvidia cards because generally they provide better value for money

So while searching for a card I should be looking at the TDP rather than the reccomended power supply? (450w for Asus Radeon HD7790)

The brand is called Approx and it doesn't have any specific model number on it (It was a cheap one that came with the computer)

Is it worth it to fiddle around with it or should i just ditch it and buy a corsair builder series 600w along with a gfx card?

I thought u were mentioning approximate wattage. lol
Well that psu doesn't have a PCIe power connector and has 2 yrs warranty - so it must be nearing its end. Definitely a low quality psu
The max GPU u can go with this PSU is the HD 7750
else u need to buy a decent psu

Having read the post above and the further information about your PSU(I thought you meant it was approximately 500w) haha. If you want a 7770 or 7790 you will need a better PSU for sure. I have recently put in a Corsair builder series PSU into my PC and have had no trouble at all with it, simple to put in as well so can thoroughly recommend them.

Thanks for the help and info guys! I will be getting the HD7790 + Corsair builder series 600w psu as suggested.
