Considering the latest releases of GPU lately, was thinking of buying a new GPU coz my old
R7-250 broke down.

This i my current system:

In terms of PSU, i have no problems with that. Currently using a 700w 85 Bronze HEXA PSU so i got that covered.

What i would like to know is, what is the CURRENT BEST GPU i could buy (Brand new or second hand) that would best fit my current system to maximize the over-all gaming performance.

I am only asking for GPU so pls don't suggest things like change PSU/Processor because i am not changing those anymore.

Cooling is of no problem too as i am using this: DeepCool Frostwin v2.0

Budget for a GPU is $150-$200 at most.

Suggestions on Both AMD/nVdia would be very much welcome. I'd like to know as to which line would perform better because top be honest, i've never bought nVdia lines before.

Thanks for the help guys

280x > 380 > gtx 960

nvidia gpu's are better with amd cpu's because of nvidia's drivers that free's up cpu cycles compared to amd's...
The max I'd get for your CPU is a Geforce GTX 950 or GTX 960. The RX 480 4GB version is definitely viable, but will get bottlenecked. If you do get an RX 480, the best I can suggest you do is either A, overclock the A8 even higher, or B get a Godaveri CPU like the Athlon 880K and overclock it.

No plans on upgrading to a different processor. I pointed that out because there really isn't any good upgrade path from my current A8-6600k to any other processor not even an A10. Performance would only improve very slightly in terms of processing (10-16% perhaps?). For a processor change, i will have to go to either an i5 or FX but as i said, i don't want to upgrade processors as my budget is solely for GPU spending alone. Even Athlon X4 880k won't even make much of a difference unless i came from let's say A4 series APU then that's a tremendous processor jump.

Regarding GPU, RX-480 is out of the question. Almost always out of stocks and the current ones i saw here were priced at $250-$300 (totally out of budget). Was thinking Lines along R9-270x/280x or R7-370/R9-380 and other nVdia cards that would perform the same as these lines.

gtx 960 or r9 380

since you have an amd cpu, go with the nvidia option

Since i have an AMD CPU, go with nVdia option? That doesn't make sense. Wouldn't going withan AMD GPU for an AMD CPU be more logical? Also Why the 380? I've been reading that some would opt for 280x compared to 380 but everything they said were like borderline this and that without definitive answers as to which is really better.

Also a lot are saying recently that the GTX 960 is outperformed by R9 380 but R9 380 is somewhat outperformed by R9-280x so go with R9-280x? too many reads, none having a common point. *sigh*

Agreed. Keeping the A8 is more logical, but I thought I'd throw that suggestion out there anyways. :)

I'm not sure what max is saying, but I remember a video where AMD FX CPUs actually made more FPS because of less CPU load when SLIng nvidia cards, where as CFX two Radeon cards of the same power brought less fps and more CPU load.

However, I'm pretty sure that only applies to 2 way configurations.
