Best GPU for around 160$

Im looking at a new gpu i currently have the gtx 550 ti (Its shit). I have looked at the R9 270 (not the 270x) and then the Gtx 750 ti im not sure what one is better. There might be other cards that are a better choice. Thx in advance.

The R9 270 is the superior card compared to the 750Ti, however the 750Ti consumes less power.

Id say go for the r9 270. If you cant get the x version, its still better then the gtx 750 ti. Theres really no cards that compete around that price range except r7 260x, which is the cheapest and most lower end out of those two.

Save your money just past that for 189 after rebate is the 280 and it is much better

For $160 The R9 270 has no match , it can be overclocked to match the R9 270X performance.

since you said around $160 I would wait out for a great sale and get an r9 280

with rebate (I hate rebates) you can get one for $170

otherwise they are going for $190

this will set you up really well with 3 gigs or GDDR and superior 1080p gaming

At $160 the R9 270 is a no brainer, but if you can extend your budget to $190, get the R9 280, its really worth the price difference.
