what is the best gpu for i5 8400 in 1080p gaming?
is 1080 or 1070ti suitable enough? i went a head to head cpu & gpu combine with no any bottlenecks.
how about rx 5700?

Hello, no matter what you do your system will always be bottlenecked sadly however you can minimize the bottleneck by getting good hardware combinations.

Well just be logical you wouldn't spend barely $100 on a CPU and put a $1000 monster with it or vice versa, to answer your question yes that CPU should handle any modern GPU just fine as for the GPU what games do you play and on what settings what's your GPU budget?

any game, i can buy any graphic card, the prices are different here
im just waver between 1080 or rx 5700

Get the 2060.

It's newer and supports Ray tracing technology.

If buying used, then 1080 might be the better value.

500 W power supply will be enough.

i have i5 8400 with 1660ti. (at 1600x900 res) the cpu usage preatty much always 70%-90 in most games.

gpu also stays 99% most of them time for exampe in shadow of the tomb raider or metro exodus. in cpu intensive game like gta v gpu stays around 60-70%

I would say go for a rx 5700. Good gpu, and should last you a good time. Beats the 2060 and is also quite cheap. Should run most games at above 60 fps @ 1080p. Your cpu will most probably bottle neck you, however.

I agree that RX 5700 would be better however, Core i5 8400 wouldn't bottleneck the system if anything it would be the resolution that bottlenecks him as those cards aren't meant for 1600x900.

i have 1660ti. i was able to achieve 60-70 fps with DXR enabled on medium. also in SOTTR i could get above 60 fps with ray tracing on with lowering some other settings
