Best GPU for e5700

I've acquired a desktop for free and I'm curious if i wanted to get the most out of it, what is the best GPU i could match with an e5700 currently at 3.0ghz, i might try overclocking it if i can. Also i only have a 400W power supply with it.

I wouldn't spend much, maybe a GT 730 (64-bit memory interface as it performs better then the 128-bit version) or GTX 750 ti at the most and go with a model that doesn't require additional power from the PSU (small form factor).

Something like the GTX 650 or 750 from Nvidia or something from the HD 77xx series or R7 240 or 250 from AMD. Anything over those GPUs or something with similar performance to those GPUs and your CPU/RAM/Motherboard chipset would be such a major bottleneck that it wouldn't even be worth it.

From NVidia, a GT640, 650, 730, 740 or GTX750. From AMD, an R5 240.
