Hello!
I am about to upgrade my PC, because I bought it 3 years ago and the performance isn't that good anymore.
My current build is:
MSI 760GM-P23
GTX 750 Ti
AMD FX-6300 stock
RAM 12GB (8 + 4 1600 Crucial)
PSU Corsair CX600
And here are my questions:
1. What would be the best GPU for my motherboard and CPU? I guess GTX 770 is a little bit too high? I am aiming at GTX 680, will they go well together?
2. Also, I already bought aftermarket CPU cooling and I want to overclock my FX-6300 to at least 4.0Ghz. Is it possible on my motherboard? I really don't feel like changing my MOBO or my CPU. I got Hyper TX3 cooling and I am going to install it tomorrow. I am aware that my MOBO isn't good for overclocking, but I guess I will have to do it NOT to bottleneck my new GPU. Is 4.0Ghz possible? Also how should I do it safely? 4.0Ghz + 1.3 voltage (so 0 changes on voltage, actually) + aftermarket CPU cooling can work out well on my MOBO? And if the answer is yes, is GTX 680 the best choice here? And I would rather stick with nVidia, I don't really like AMD GPUs.
Thanks, guys!
