Question Best GPU for my Build

Hey guys, just curious as to what my options are for GPU’s to suit my build. Looking to upgrade so it can keep up with new games coming out for the next few years. I will eventually get a new rig, but I don’t think it’s super necessary right now. My main question is if i should aim for 1080p or 1440p gaming with this rig in addition to a new GPU. I spoke to a mate at work and he thinks a RTX 2070 would do the job for 1440p gaming but I’m just not sure, as my brother thinks it will bottle neck my CPU. Hope to hear from someone soon, thanks

If you are looking for 1440p gaming then get the best you can. You might also want to look at a new CPU soon, you definitely won't need a new rig for a few years yet. If you can, the 2080 Ti would be good for 1440p max. You'd be getting above 60FPS averages at 1440p with highest graphics presets. You wouldn't be much below 60 FPS with same resolution and graphics on the 2070. Go with a 2070, 2080 or 2080 Ti, whichever you can afford. Later on, you might then upgrade to a Ryzen 7 2700x CPU.
