Hello!
I have built a pc with the following specs:
CPU: i5-3570
RAM:8GB (can be upgraded to 12 or 16 if required)
PSU:500 Watts
My lcd resolution is 1440x900. I plan to buy a GPU that can play almost all games released up till 2017 in ultra to high settings. What is the best GPU I should go for with no cpu bottlenecking? I could not find a 3570k, hence no overclocking chances.

Solution
CPU bottle necking is an imaginary thing when speaking of i5 / i7 GPUs. You can measure a difference between SB from 6 years ago and today but if you sat in front of two identical machines one with a 2600k and one with a 7600k, you'd be hard pressed to observe a difference except in rare instances, none of which I have encountered.

As for RAM ... if you had 2 x 4 GB, you could potentially upgrade to 4 x 4 GB tho it's not guaranteed.. If you have 1 x 8GB, I would suggest selling it and getting a new dual (2 8GB( channel set for your dual channel MoBo.

The GTX 1060 3 GB would be more than sufficient for your resolution

I do not get your point about the RAM. My MB has 4 slots, I have 2x4=8GB ddr 1600 MHz of RAM. Why should I go for 2x8 instead of 4x4 as I already have two 4GB sticks?
Thanks for the suggestion on the gpu. Will the 3gb 1060 prove enough for 2017 games?

he suggests the 2x8 being a better option, even if you were to buy two more 4GB sticks they aren't guaranteed to work together, same brand, same model, same speed, it is not100% certain they will work together.

There are small manufacturing changes made to the ram, perhaps different memory chips are being used or simply a different run of the same chips may cause issue. IRL it won't matter for the most part. Compatibility issues seldomly arrive these days, but I was working on an i5 system, and it wouldnt boot without memory errors after 10 mins. I mem checked both sets no issues, they worked fine on their own but not together. 2x4 GB kits.

I get your point. I'll consider that if I upgrade my RAM. Thanks
