Hi,
I wanna ask you which graphic card is better for an Asus p5vd2-x nowadays?
Obviously, I can't build a gaming pc but I am curious to read some opinions.
My specs are:
Asus P5VD2-X
Intel Core2 Duo e6600
2x2gb ddr2 ram
500W psu
Thank you for your replies

Hello, in my opinion the gtx 1650 or 1050ti should work reasonably well with your pc, since they are very quiet and power-efficient. They should also deliver fairly decent performance in older games.
Hope that helps.

Thank you for your replies and thank you ElectrO_90 for that link! This is the gpu that can offer the best performances actually. And if i want to save money, something cheaper? Any ideas?

What make and model is that 500W PSU and how old?

Isn't that board a LGA 775 socket with PCIE gen 1 with an old non-EFI BIOS?

Will a GTX graphics card work on that board? 🤔

The PSU is a Cooler Master Model: TM500-PSAP-I3. It is almost a teenager 😀
Yes the mobo is a LGA775, PCIE first gen and non-EFI.
What graphics card do you suggest?

Is this here your PSU? If it is, that's apparently a Thermal Master and looks like a generic low quality one. Even the table for specs is messed up with mixed entries and bad wording etc. which indicates a sub par manufacturer. I wouldn't use a brand new GTX card with that PSU or the system without a new GPU for that matter.

I wasn't just sure whether those cards 1550Ti or 1650 (which are good choices as said above) would work on first gen. PCIE motherboard. Have seen some GTX cards having issues even on more recent boards with gen 2 PCIE.

I was not saying it won't absolutely work. Maybe others can verify whether they'd actually work or not. Or maybe they know that they'd work, hence, the link (which won't open for me). Check out the link that ElectrO_90 posted.

Was just saying make sure they'd work before you buy, if you plan to do so?

Whatever you do, and I hope it goes well, I'd say get a good quality PSU ASAP.
