Hi, I was thinking of doing my first gaming PC build and I was thinking of going with the Ryzen 3600, but I dont know which GPU is best paired with it. I was thinking of GTX 1660 ti or a RX 5700. I would play in 1080p at high settings (preferably). My budget is 800$ but it can stretch a little if needed. I have a 144hz monitor

The 800$ are for the whole system. I didn't realize it was confusing. Thank for your concern

The 5700xt is somewhat stronger than the 5700, which is somewhat stronger than the 1660ti. The XT is averaging @ 30-40 fps higher than a 1660ti across many games, even the 5700 is averaging @ 20fps higher. But thats the difference with $400- $350- $270 USD cards.

If you have that kind of budget to spend on a graphics card the RTX 2070 Super is a very nice card.
Is the $800 for the whole system, including case and PSU? Or just for the graphics card? Your post doesn't really make it clear.

Well then 144fps+ is a little out of reach. You'll have to balance the pc between its performance and looks and wants as well as get the best gpu you can squeeze in.

I've seen far too many builds I'd not own, just because everything was lowest performance/ability/ugly as sin, just to cram a bigger gpu. Cheapest mobo, $20 case, $30 psu, minimal ram etc.
