Sofar i have
8gb ram
msi 750 ti 2gb
intel 4690k
I played the witcher 3 today and it didnt run well with my gpu. Is there any good (not expensive) Nivida GTX GPU's to turn high graphics for the witcher 3?
Also my budget is 350$ maximum

Solution
I went from GTX 750 Ti to GTX 970 too. I can recommend that step highly. I think, this card should be at your price target. It gets between twice or three times more fps than before (say in example 25fps then, and 60-65fps now, just for a general idea how much better it is). I decided for the 970 for very high settings at 60 fps / full hd 1080p on modern and high quality games.

I mean the contradiction here is

High FPS and visuals/little money...Obviously this is the dream...right? WOuld everyone not just pay little for more?

PC gaming is not a "cheap" venture. If you want cheap, play it on PS4.

You will need a 970 GTX or 980 to run it on the best settings.

There is no point to got ot a 960 or quivalent AMD as the change will be little and the game is totally unoptimised for AMD, as WIDELY reported.

So you want to go Nvidia anyway...

Wait for the next gen radeons to drop. Their using that new 3d memory. Which if it does what people think it will more memory for less cost. Plus you'll kick yourself getting a new card so close to a new card launch. Though really maybe you should buy an r9 270 or something along the lines and just wait for the price to drop some more because it definitely will close to launch.

+1

Aside from all the things I say...this is the worst time to buy any GPU right now anyway

Well i've been planing to buy 960 gtx, people say its good to run high-med and good fps. Is it a big difference between 750 ti and 960?

Not quiet the same game, but there are some benchmarks out there for other games and benchmarking utilities. These results for full hd 1080p at high settings or ultra gives an idea how some cards compare.

For Skyrim at full hd: 750 Ti gets average of 56 fps, 970 gets more than 150 fps.

For Battlefield 4 at full hd: 960 gets average of 56 fps, 970 gets more than 83 fps.

For Bioshock Infinite at full hd: 960 gets average of 56 fps, 970 gets more than 83 fps.

For GTA V at full hd: 750 Ti gets average of 33 fps, 960 gets more than 52 fps.

For PassMark synthetical software benchmark at G3D Mark: 750 Ti gets 3.688, 960 gets 6.011, 970 gets 8,649.

There is no way you want to play the Witcher 3 on an AMD card. You would miss out on the majority of the graphics enhancements. This game features PhysX and Hairworks throughout, as well as other settings exclusive to Nvidia cards.

The GTX 960 or 970 are your main options with only your budget to determine which one. Too bad you already have the game, because you get a free copy of the Witcher 3 with your purchase.

With your budget, the GTX 970 is the easy choice. It also will come with an additional free copy of Batman Arkham Knight, another PhysX game enhanced with Nvidia graphics.

Don't listen to the nvidia hyperboyle. You don't need an nvidia card to run witcher 3 well. Especially with upcoming price drops of the radeon cards it's the best price v performance option out their. Sure, right now the drivers might be crap on the witcher 3 give it a week they'll be tweaked. The gpu brand name exclusive "visuals" are all b.s. their is no need to justify buying a specific brand just because it could have some completely un noticeable visual discrepancies. Look at it in the long run how often do you plan on using the card you're going to get. Do you really want to justify getting a card just because, this card may have slightly different effects then the next one?

1080p, Ultra and steady 60fps?
GTX 970 or R9 290X

1440p, Ultra and steady 60fps?
GTX980Ti or R9 390X

The GTX960 and R9 280x should be able to give almost steady 60fps with high settings @1080p
I would go for the R9 280x, the games PhysX main features are done via CPU anyway.

30 FPS isn't going to cut it.

Where did you have the graphs from? Without knowing the background and how they come to these values, such a graph is pointless. You should provide a link where you got it. Also I don't believe that you allowed to copy and upload these images...

There you go, I updated my post with the link to TechPowerUp. I see that you're new to these parts. I assumed anyone would recognize the distinctive TPU charts, which are used everywhere on these forums. Of course, you're familiar with TechPowerUp, the guys who invented GPU-Z?

If you would like to post your own charts you need to go to the "Post an Answer" button for the function to be made available. It's a lot more effective than just posting links, which the majority of readers don't bother clicking.

Did you check the in-game settings that techpowerup used? 😉

I have both a 970 as my new 980Ti, and did hit it pretty accurate with the steady 60fps statement, AO/tesselation and shadows do need to be turned a notch down though, plus that one shouldn't go to crazy with AA, NV hairworks is a no go.
Same goes for SOM, GTA V and Batman - Arkham Knight.
But it also depends a lot on the what else you have in your PC.
If you want to max out everything @1440p, and still have steady 60fps with these games, you are going need dual GPU's.

Besides that, Toms Hardware has much more detailed graphs than Techpowerup, minimum fps and the frametime is more important than average and max.
