Best GPU for this system.

I have a pc with:
core 2 duo
4gb ddr2
375 watt psu (1 6 pin connector)
whats the best gpu for this that is cheap

A 1050TI. Might be a bit bottlenecked by the C2D, but they aren't super expensive either. A 750TI would also be a good idea.

Whose PSU is that? https://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards-20 says a 350w PSU is the minimum for that GPU, and if that's a cheap knock-off (or proprietary--Dell, HP, Asus, etc), you might be better served upgrading the PSU too.

It says a 350W is needed and he has a 375W. The 1050 and 750TI are made for low power systems. The GPU itself doesn't need that much, that's system power. If he has a 6pin PCIe plug, he'll be ok to use that.

My experience with cheap knock-off PSUs is that their ratings are very, very fishy. Just sayin'

Help us out, what is your budget? Location? Cheaper would be the 730, 1030, 460 or 560 probably. 750TI is really the lowest I'd go.

It depends on the card. 730 and 1030 are weaker than the 750.

I personally consider cards like the 710, 730, 1030, etc to be IGP replacements. They are really too weak to do any kind of modern gaming. You said lower end games which can work, but overall they won't provide a great gaming experience. As I've been saying, you really need something like the 750TI to handle games at 1080. Anything less than that and you'll need to lower the res and down down details. The 730 and 1030 just can't game at 1080.

Here is Tom's review of the 1030, which is the faster of the 1030 and 730. Here in BF1, even at 720 resolution it can't hit 60FPS with medium details. The same is true with Doom. 720 res, medium details, and the 1030 is still sub 60FPS. It's possible to do some gaming with these chips, but for the most part they aren't going to let you game at 1080 with good details.

As a general rule I don't provide exact help like that. Just look for CSGO results with the 730. You should be able to find 720 and 1080 results. Your res will be in the middle, as will the scores.
