best Gpu for video editing

so i am a media uni student building a computer mainly for video editing but also gaming so what's the best Graphics card? my budget is around £200-£250 i was thinking about the r9 290

I think that is a great choice if you need all that performance. If not, then go with a 280X or 285.

Actually, there isnt any difference between the r9 280x and the r9 290 in rendering. However, in gaming, it is better in all cases. Just don't buy a reference model because the cooling has the reputation of not being enough(90C on load).

I am mainly also wanting to get something that will last Me for longer I have just gone and got the r9290 and a fx-8350 for my build

Yeah, next time, wait for the r9 300 series that will be released in February.

I can't wait till February and then buy a brand new most likely £500 plus graphics.I kinda need it now for uni the longer I go with my current and computer the worst it is for me
