Best GPU on the cheap

Hi, looking for a GPU for my friend. I'm trying to find him the best card he can get with a max of £50.
He'll be playing in fairly low res and is fine with low/medium settings, probably won't be playing very modern games, 2008 and previous.

radeon 6670 ddr3 would be the perfect card at that price. not only will it easily play all older games it will even play modern games at medium settings should he ever want to play newer games

^+1 go with hd 6670 it can handle games at med-high settings.

Hi, the Asus ddr5 version is only a few quid more, would it be better to get that?

Yeah, it's worth it - it'll be a fairly significant difference, and if it's not much more, then there's no reason not to.
