hey guys, have a limit of £280.. and have no idea wittch card to get, i had an asus r9 20x that was faulty and i got refunded so i dont really want to go for another ASUS 280x...

i saw an MSI Lightning on Scan.co.uk for the same price (£276) but do not know if it would be a great choice... i suppose the only thing that worries me is the 2GB memory

helpful Info:
I play on 1920x1080
i have an AMD CPU (FX8320

will having only 2gb of gpu memory effect my gameplay

also. will it run battlefield 4 on ultra (60+ average FPS)

thanks

Here is a good review with benchmarks that might help you make your decision http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/amd-radeon-r9-280x-vs-nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-which-is-fastest

There close but if your only planing one using one monitor and are at 1080 I would go for the 770

Edit: the 280X definitely performs better at high settings in BF4 (probably due to the increased memory bus ) but in ultra their both the same.

Also BF4 is quirky it really seems to like some cards more than other. All around performance goes to the 770

i think im going to go for the GTX 770, seeing as BF4 is only one game i plan on playing and the 770 seems to run it almost as well as the r9 280x..not to mention the GeForce Experience and Advanced PhysX

dunno when they will be releasing it for BF4 tho...

With R9 270X I can pretty much get 60 FPS on ultra (framedrops sometimes though so I can turn AA down/off if need be and use FXaa or SMaa
