Best GPU that can fit into an Optiplex 3010 on a budget of £150!

So I've just got my hands on an Optiplex 3010 MT With an I5 3470, 8GB DDR3 Ram and an upgraded PSU (Corsair VS550) As Dell's stock one is way to Under powered for my likings.
Now it's the graphics card I'm hunting for.
I've seen the 970 Used for a good price but they are very big and the 1050ti also for a good price used.
I'm going to be playing Euro truck simulator 2, GTA 5, BeamNG and OMSI 2 Which is a very GPU Intensive game.
I've got my eyes on the 1050ti, 970 (If it's a smaller one). I'm not keen on the 1050.

I'm coming from a Q6600 and a 750 so the performance should be quite a jump.

How much are you wanting to spend?

The GTX 970 would be more powerful however the 1050 Ti uses less power and you will have to be concerned with that unless you plan to replace the stock Dell PSU as well, which would be highly recommended.

The case should fit a standard 2 fan GPU but I would have to do more digging to verify that.

okay so according to the spec sheet the MT variant can support cards with with size of 11.115cm high by 16.765cm long or 4.376 in by 6.6 in. See page 16 https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optiplex_3010_technical_guidebook.pdf

So that means it has to the the half length cards, not full length.

I've got £150 to spend on a GPU And I've got a VS550 Inside the system now not the stock Dell.
Would this 1050TI be a good player?

Right, I've just had a second look and Ebuyer are doing this 1050ti for £148.97 And it's brand new. I guess it's worth it instead of going used.

That is the best one I can find and Asus is a good brand, I have them for my GPUs.

But it is a 7.6 inch card and your case supports 6.6 inches.

That's the size of the Asus 1050TI i can find brand new. Is that good for the Dell? It's the MT Version not the small thin version

That guy was able to put a GTX 950 Mini which is 6.8 inches into the 3010 and it looks to have quite a bit of room. Does yours look the same?

That's what the specs say (it lists all three size variants.) You can double check by actually measuring it yourself. Generally OEMs will be conservative and underestimate the available room. I've seen some put 980's in the 790 with the 2400 and the chassis is practically identical to the 3010, 7010 and 9010. Just a year newer so I'm guessing the 1050 should slide right in. I'll remove it's HDD Cage if i have to and mount a smaller one from another one of my systems if i have to Or I'll just tape them in as I'm really not fussed about the looks.

From the video I linked the GPU he put in is 6.8" long but looks to have a inch or two left in room. That GTX 1050 Ti is 7.6" long so I think it should fit as that's less than an inch longer.

Yeah well i can always remove the HDD Cage for more room

Apparently you can get a 970 In a 3010 by removing the HDD Caddy which I'm fine with according to another youtuber it has around 10 and a half inches of room.
