best GPU under £190 ($230)

I can currently pick up a 780 TI in good condition for £150 on sale. Should i get it or are there any other better GPUa or SLI/Crossfire setups under £190?

The RX 480 would be a better option and a few of the 4gb models are under 190.

Looks like a deal, on eBay GTX 960's are going upto £120 & GTX 970's are going upto £170? Depends on how long the person has had it.

is the extra £30 for the extra 4gb worth it?

to me guess it would be if was looking to get a rx480

I still suggest RX480, it's newer technology.

True, but "how" future proof varies from person to person, if you heavily mod Elder Scrolls & Fallout series, then VRam is a major concern, however if your running, say a 1920x1200 resolution and are happy with med-low settings, by the time you need 8GB over 4GB your probably going to need a new card anyway, as it won't be fast enough to play the games that use 8GB from the get go.


1GB cards can still survive today, barely, but they can. So it might be a while before 4GB is not enough, like 3-4 years?, by which point you may need to upgrade anyway at the rate Graphics Cards are coming out, along with the games capable of abusing them.

480 will crush 780ti in DX12 and thats the future. Also will eat less power while doing it. The electricity is not free 😛
