Currently I have a GTX Titan X 12gb but im having crashing issues with it on competitive games i play so i have to get a new card, i knew i wont be able to get near as good card as the titan but better than my PC crashing every 30min of playing so what would yous suggest. IM looking for a 2 fan gpu with the best performance under £400, i was thinking 2060 but honestly not sure ( i had a 1660ti before and wasnt happy with how much i spent on it and performance wasn't good enough for the £)
I have a 750 gold plus corsair PSU so I should be fine with most GPUs
i7 6700k
16 of ram

Solution
Have you updated the GPU drivers to the latest version?
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/148865/en-us

The GPU driver is practically the most important thing, along with system drivers, bios etc. Make sure they are all the most recent version.

I doubt it's hardware issue. For me it's software/bios/GPU driver. Update them all then start again. As a last resort re-install windows. It could be Windows is currupt and the install will fix that.

If it still the same after that, return the Titan (if possible) and get the RTX2050/super. It will be perfect for your needs.

Are you 100% sure the crashes are related to your current TITAN X GPU, and not games, and/or your OS ? RTX 2060 SUPER would be a good choice.

What's the screen RES of your Monitor ? Btw, what's the GPU and CPU Temp value and usage, when the crashes occur ??

I'd ask the obvious question, have you tried diagnosing the issue with the Titan? I mean, really, there are very few better or comparable cards right now, that includes only a few GTX1080/ti RTX2070/Super/2080. I'd rather figure out the underlying issue, than replacing an awesome card with a mid-high version.

Dropping down to a £400 GPU will be such an anti climax.

I'd agree with Metal Messiah, the 2060/Super would be a good choice on the budget. It for me is about as best bang for buck you will get with Nvidia. The pricing has gone crazy with a 50-100 £$€ upswing for the same category.

Im am not 100% sure but theres fortnite tourneys soon and have no choice as ive had these problems for over a months and cant take it anymore and the usage for my GPPU is around 30-40%, for fortnite, im sure thats quite normal and cpu is 50-70% usually. I tested my gpu in 3dMark skydiving and my PC froze again.. its weird tho cuz i dont freeze on any other game so im in a pickle
I have Factory reset my PC multiple times and im 100% its not that, there is a chance it is fortnite but what would make it crash my whole PC? again only problem ive had was 3dmark skydiving and Fortnite, i play far more demanding games and have 0 problems
SCreen res is 1080p
My CPU temp is 65
MY GPU temp is 58-63 on FORTNITE when this happens (i think fortnite is more cpu based) im not sure

I have benchmarked, yes. on 3dmark and have had 1 issue on it with my game crashing and actually today for the first time my PC crashed on it (Only on skydiving) everything seems fine. Yea i understand that i woul be dropping down frames 🙁 but im a competitive fortnite player trying to do well in tourneys and i cant play if I'm having consistent PC crashing. I had 0 issues before upgrading to the titan X, before i had a 1660ti

Ahhh, okay. Wait, so is the Titan, second hand?

Okay, what mobo do you have.

There are a few things to try first. Update system drivers: Lan, Sound, Chipset etc. Make sure you have the most up to date GPU driver and have done a clean install. Update your bios to the latest version.

How old is your PSU. It's all well an good having a gold certified PSU, but they too can fail. Have you got another you could swap out to be sure. Could you get a lend of one from a friend? I would not give up the ghost on diagnosing.

If the problem lies elswhere you may have the same issues with a new GPU. That would be a waste of cash, regardless of whether the tourneys start soon. Given it's mostly localised to two games : Fortnight and 3dmark, I don't think it's a GPU issue per se.

Its 100% not my PSU as I just upgraded my 650w to a 750w 2 weeks ago.
I have a MSI B250M pro-VDH MOBO and indeed it was second hand, I talked to the guy for about 2hours before buying and he even was gonna give me a refund so a aprt of me feels like it isn't the GPU but I really do think it is as my problems occurred when pu8tting the GPU in, only thing I did was put a SSD and new in my PC when these issues started, I =m sure everythings updated.
I haven't done anything in BIOS yet as tbh I don't know what im doing there

Then I don't think there is some issue with your current GPU, and other PC components. These crashes seem to be related to the particular game/app which you are trying to play/run.

Yea ive tried going on YouTube to fix this issue but haven't found anything, I have reinstalled, moved it to my SSD, went into fortnite files and uninstalled battleye and reinstall which I thought it worked but didn't. Before i put the Titan into my PC, i had 0 problems tho? thats the part where i think its my GPU

Try the bios update. If that doesn't do anything, it may be worthwhile doing an OS install as a last resort before returning the card or purchasing a new one.

If you have had a lot of random crashes and install of a new SSD, it's possible the OS has become corrupted. I'd do a fresh install to rule that out. The consider the new card. You won't go wrong with a 2060 super up to 1440p 60hz. You prob play at lower res with higher hz, and the Super will be equally as good as the Titan at that res.

Im not amazing with PC's so if i say anything incorrect, that's why. I have reset and factory reset my PC and still had the problem... isnt that basically like installing it again? and i don't play 2k, only 1080p and 144hz so if it gets to that point, i guess the card should be good enough for me, i only see 1 on amazon thoi for £423 unless im stupid and looked the wrong one up
