Yeah, that is a lot of overkill.

There are a few 750Ti left for $80, not a bad choice. If you can't find one then a GTX950 is probably your best bet.

A lesser video card would also be fine, but you don't really want to buy an old card. Unless you are shopping used, then you can maybe do better for the money.

In truth, you should plan for the future though. 1080p monitors are cheap and GTX1060 or RX480 can run those with ease for any almost available game.
