I base my information on the manufacturers web site, resellers don't always get the information correctly. just like ebay they copy and paste a lot of information that can be incorrect (such as what cpu can be supported) when it comes to hardware, especially a motherboard, I trust a manufacturer manual over some seller/ebay listing.

As for the GT 710 video card, it is not a gaming card by any stretch of the imagination, but, it will be better than the on board video card chipset it has (in this case with your motherboard it is a "Intel GMA X4500" .

Skyrim recommendation are to use DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher). REF...
By The Paladin: can you tell us what make and model your motherboard and your Cpu are ?

Me: Well my current motherboard is ASUS P5KPL-AM but it got bit problem with rusty circuit, and broken RAM slot so I wanna buy buy new motherboard (old model) from ASUS too - ASUS P5G43-V WS.
My current CPU is Intel Pentium E5300 Dual-Core but I wanna buy new CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, ofc it's compatible with with my new motherboard soon.

By ThatVietGuy: Why only GDDR3?

Me: Because that only compatible with my new motherboard - ASUS P5G43-V WS which is umm compatible to PCI-Ex16..?.

By helpstar: GDDR3 is not relevant for the compatibility and would be quite slow for a graphics card.

Have a look for a GTX 1050

which other components do you use?
processor, motherboard, power supply?

My PSU is Brand: CEMO, Model:ATX-500W-24P

If you system is going to become;
ASUS P5G43-V WS with Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 powered with ATX-500W-24P

According to the user manual located at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/444938/Asus-P5g43-V-Ws.html?page=10#manual you will notice that your video PCIE Slot is actually 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16, so this means any 2.0 or 3.0 video card will work with your system. GDDR 3 or GDDr5 doesn't matter

Now that said I looked deeper into your BIOS, and noticed that it was NOT UEFI (see page https://www.manualslib.com/manual/444938/Asus-P5g43-V-Ws.html?page=58#manual) this shows the old style BIOS and not the new style UEFI. which means I would stay away from any GTX 10xx series video cards as they require it.

finally your power supply, the CEMO atx-500w-24p is a very low end power supply, from what I gather from some research. it is made in China, and sold under a dozen brand names and all reported back this power supply can barely produce 240w on the 12v line. and in most cases the power supply does not have a PCIE 6+2 connector to use to power a video card.

Opinion. get a better power supply, 500w is plenty for your system, something like a 80+ Bronze Thermaltake or Corsair, this factor is important, as the power supply that you currently have limits severely the choices in video cards you can use. for example;instead of a Gtx 970 for example, you are limited to a GT 1030 or RX 460, which in the end are my recommendations to your current system if you do not want to change your power supply.

Best video card I can see you running; GTX 750TI but that means a new power supply for your system as well, alternate choice to the GTX750TI , you could find a Used HD78xx Video card (HD7850 or HD7870) but only if your PSu has 1 PCIE 6Pin connector .

why? because a duo core2 Q6600 on a DDR2 Motherboard will struggle at best to run a game like call of duty, never mind running any AAA games out there, can you run a 1050ti on your system , probably, maybe not because of your bios, but if it did your CPU would be a huge throttle of data, and you would not get full performance of that video card, pairing it with a video card that is better balance for your cpu is a better idea in the end.

Me: Hmm if the website says it's PCIE 2.0x16... But why it says PCIEx16 in this online shopping? I'm confused, does the seller put wrong information? - https://www.lazada.com.my/asus-p5g43-v-ws-775-ddr2-4-ram-slot-limited-stock-48293485.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9vG_q7OC2QIVR4aPCh27vwa4EAQYASABEgKcfPD_BwE&s_kwcid=AL!3150!3!238641171302!!!g!!&utm_source=google&utm_medium=sem_non_brand&utm_campaign=949727228&utm_content=382126449010_AS575ELAASR3HPANMY-62628010_118070931&utm_term=55407695412_m_aud-301034914544😛la-382126449010&adjust_tracker=t2v78t_5n20iw&adjust_campaign=949727228&adjust_adgroup=55407695412_m_aud-301034914544😛la-382126449010&adjust_creative=382126449010_AS575ELAASR3HPANMY-62628010_118070931&adjust_label

About the PSU, yep you are right, I need good PSU but I have to use the one that I have already cuz.. depends on my budget tho.

I don't really mind about high quality graphic games cuz it's not cheap on here but I play games with low specs such as Runescape, yep that run pretty smoothly but bits lag and Skyrim. :3
Anyway, do you think MSI GT 710 is good? It's good price in my country RM187.40 ($48) - https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16814127933
(With official website to it - https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GT-710-2GD3H-LP/Specification)

Is it compatible with my new motherboard soon?

hi afzal108, just wanted to add a little comment, because you are new. 1st of all, welcome :)
2nd: You don´t have to repost the whole answer you wanna answer to. If you want, you can wright it like: "@palladin" and then write down what you wanna ask. Otherwise it´s going to be very difficult to follow the thread for someone who wants to help or has the same problem.
Best regards and hopefully we can help you with your topic

if you compare the GT 710 versus a GTX 260 for example you get these kind of results.
4DDHaOD.png

which shows clearly the power as a video gaming card of the Gt 710 is half of a GTX 260 and the GTX 260 is a rather old card compared to the GT 710, which was never designed for gaming, but to power desktops computers for office work that needed a little more power for office work load compare to a on board video card.

can you use the GT710 sure no problem there, will it satisfy your need in the games you are looking at, possibly.
it is all about budget first and acceptance of the video card limitation you have.

Ahh I see.. but, I'm still confused about the Memory Interface.
I remembered when you said 'you will notice that your video PCIE Slot is actually 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16, so this means any 2.0 or 3.0 video card will work with your system', for my new soon motherboard.
So.. does Geforce GT 710 Memory Interface Type - PCIE 2.0 (without 'x16') are suit/compatible for my new soon motherboard (ASUS P5G43-V WS)? Which is have a PCIE 2.0x16 on it.

Cuz in that graphic card official website said it's PCIE 2.0 ...

Oh okay, nice~ Know I what the 'x16' does lol. Then I'll choose Geforce GT 710 as my new temporary graphic card.

Thank you so much for your aid/assist @The Paladin . :) And ofc other people in my forum question.
I'm sorry if I made things more difficult & maybe bit of confused on you guys because yea.. I'm still amatuer about these thing. :3
