If the RX 460 is cheaper than the GTX 1050 then get it, but the GTX 1050 is better than the RX 460. Some RX 460 require a 6-pin PCIe power connector. If you have a 300W PSU that came with a prebuilt it likely does not have a 6-pin PCIe connector.
MERGED QUESTION Question from ebaylover24 : "list of good graphics card for 300w psu"
ebaylover24 :
i need a list of good gaming graphics cards that can be used with a 300w power supply this would be greatly appreciated thank you . also please dont just give me one .
It glitched out it didnt say it posted how about you find yourself a woman and grow a few inches because I'd be pretty mad and triggered about a PC website too if all I had to do all was be on this website so hop off my post if you dont like it . its quite simple .
I'd go RX 460 2gb if you can find one at a price anywhere close to what a 1030 cost, for the low end card. If you can spend a bit more, get the 1050. Your original question DID ask for the 'best' 300W friendly card and that is the 1050 Ti.
