As I suspected, the PSU is a 400W "in name only". The all-important +12V rails are only good for 10.5 amp apiece. And no indication what that rail can actually handle in watts. It will be marginal for the GTX 750 Ti, but probably doable. Stay away from the slightly more demanding R7-250 (65W). It can't compete with the GTX 750 Ti anyway. http://www.hwcompare.com/17289/geforce-gtx-750-ti-vs-radeon-r7-250/

If this is your PC: http://monit26.vot.pl/INSPIRON530/006a2669-dd2a-4bff-a47f-6732c1996de7.jpg
...it is a slimline and requires a low profile gfx card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007709%20600038363%20600038364

The fastest gfx card that will run on a small PSU is the L-P GTX 750 Ti:

Btw, what make/model PSU do you have? I can't think of a TFX PSU that is 400W.

yea i was thinking either GTX 750 Ti or R7 250 2gb

my resolution is 1366x768

so your saying that my psu is okay for the 750 ti
no problems but it will also be okay for the r7 250 right
okay so i guess ill go with the 750
way better
but my psu can still handle both the carda right

also if i buy the 750 will i have to connect any cable to my psu

and if i do does my psu have the connector

You're "safe" with the GTX 750. Probably even the GTX 750 Ti. You'd be pushing it with the R5-250. If you would rather have an AMD card, look into the R5-240. (slower) But the fastest card you can get for that PSU would be the GTX 750 Ti. Even the GTX 750 is faster than the R7-250.

Your link above to the PSU states that it has a 6 pin PCIe connector. But I would not use a card that requires one with that PSU. The GTX 750/750 Ti needs no 6 pin connector. At 720p resolution, it will game great if your dual core can keep up with it.

alright ill go with the gtx 750 then
i just wanted to get the R-7 -250 becuase its cheaper but i guess the gtx 750 performance is incredible
whats the difference between a gtx 750 & A gtx 750 Ti
also when a graphics card says 2.0 or 3.0 or 1.0
what does that mean
also whats the difference between a 2gb and a 1gb
2 gb is better performance right and way faster

im planning on buying this on ebay becuase i have a 25$ gift card

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-GeForce-GTX-750Ti-2GB-GDDR5-OC-Edition-Computer-Graphics-Card-New-/161779733679?hash=item25aad2d4af

you think thats fine and if it will fit in my case and slot

but i also have a 25 $ gift card and another 10$ gift card to amazon
so i might get this

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-3751-KR/dp/B00IDG3PRI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438318662&sr=8-1&keywords=GTX+750Ti+2GB

im still thinking which one
help me chose pls

Man! You've sure come up with a lot of questions while I've been gone...

GTX 750/750 Ti comparison: http://www.hwcompare.com/17279/geforce-gtx-750-vs-geforce-gtx-750-ti/

1.0, 2.0, 3.0 refer to the version of PCI Express that the card can utilize. Mainly how fast it can transfer data across the PCIe x16 bus. Not to worry, PCIe is a backward/forward compatible interface. And your system is probably still PCIe ver 1.0.

The amount of VRAM on the cards you are looking at (1GB, 2GB) have no bearing on the card's speed. That is simply how well it can handle textures, A-A, DoF, large screen resolution, etc. But the greater the card's VRAM, the more of your system RAM is set aside for a screen buffer. If you only have 4GB system memory, you may want to stay with a 1GB card. You won't need much more VRAM than that anyway with a 720p display.

That MSI card on ebay is not a low profile card. It won't fit. Remember... you need a low profile card like the ones I showed you.

The card on Amazon is also not a low profile card. It won't fit. You seem to have a problem with that, don't you?

Low Profile vs regular:

oh okay i see i didnt know that
but i guess now i know ;]

so http://www.amazon.com/Zotac-Computer-Video-Graphics-ZT-70702-10M/dp/B00JB1XJ4S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438369063&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+750+ti+low+profile+ready

that will work right
but i also have a 50$ visa rewards card
so i might just use that to buy a newegg gift card and just get the one of the 2 you suggested for me

Your link just goes to the Newegg home page. But if it is one of the ones I suggested, it should be OK.

There is one possible problem however... Older PCs like yours sometimes have problems recognizing the new UEFI BIOS of the GTX 750/750 Ti. I can't swear yours will. If you can update your motherboard BIOS to the latest, it might make the difference.
