Best Graphics Card for my 400W PSU

The entirety of all my other pc parts use 150w, so the specs doesn't matter, what does matter is I'm stumped at what to get GPU wise, I'm getting mixed messages, but anyway, my PSU. Forgot to say, I only do AMD, so please if you can refrain to AMD cards

Depends on how much money you want to throw away.

Any GPU that puts that low quality PSU under stress is in danger of getting fried.

I know it is not what you want to hear but you need to buy a better quality PSU before sinking any money into a GPU.
Never go cheap on the part that can destroy everything else!

You've only got 324 W on the 12V rail. The nVidia cards use less power so that's really your best bet. I would go with a GTX 960.

SS20SL, not sure what that list is trying to tell me, and I'm going for switchable OS from windows XP to Windows 10 (Xp to play older games) and NVidia has stopped the XP support, but AMD haven't yet, and I've already put money into the HDD's with the OS's, so I need a GPU that will be supported by Both XP and 10

The list he posted is the power supply tier list that states what IS a good power supply.
Tier 2 preferred for gaming system, tier 3 is bare minimum.

If you are restricted to AMD, probably an R9 260 is your best bet. What are you using now?

See how it only has 1 6pin and 1 4pin power connector.
That is because it is not even stable enough for an 8pin CPU let alone any half decent graphics card.

If you want to go cheap and ultimately fry your GPU then it is your money, but you cant say you were not warned.

Sorry for the late reply, I currently don't have a gpu, but I've listened to boosted and bought a decent 700w psu, and along with that a Radeon 6950
