I need some advise on picking a graphics card for my system please , I'm running an amd FX 8120 8 core, currently with 8G ram from one set of : G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 - but will be adding another 8G with the addition of another set of these for a total of 16G , also running a TX750W power supply & I should be running windows 10 by the time I order the new card, I need a decent graphics card at about $150.00 or under that will let me play mmorpg's with good results , thanks for any input.

The best option in that price range would be the R7 370 - 2GB models go for just under $150 and the 4GB models for $160-180. You can also wait a few weeks for the rumored GTX 950 launch that will target the same price range.

However in my opinion, unless you need that extra 8GB of RAM for something specific, you should save the $40-50 you would spend on that and use it to buy a GTX 960 (preferably a 4GB version) or R9 380 instead. The extra RAM will not help you much for gaming while the bump in GPU tier will net you a 20-30% increase in framerate.

thank you aznricepuff , I was looking at the R9 as a possibility ( but the price point of the R7 is very tempting ) & I will read up on the GTX 960 , you gave just what I was looking for in an answer -- confirming that I was thinking along the right lines but also gave me some new input on products I had not looked at yet, thanks again!
