I was wondering what the best available graphics card is for the Alienware x51 R2 and what power supply I would need.

My computer has the following:

RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600Mhz

Your PSU is too weak for a 960. You really need to upgrade your PSU at the same time. Tell us what the budget is and where you are from and someone will be able to tell you.

so alienware also put low cap psu on their pc? also, a 745 is hardly for gaming, not fit for their image actually

NVIDIA recommend a minimum of a 400w for 960, its never good to stress a PSU as the risks are too great. Looks like a the OP needs a new case, PSU and gpu

Well, while trying to reply, I selected this as the best answer not that it's a bad answer. Anyway, I'm just wondering what the best is. I don't really have a budget. I'm from the United States. If you need something more specific, Alabama.
