Best Graphics Card for Video Editing/Gaming?

I am building my first computer and would like to know what the best GPU would be for video editing/gaming.

The gtx 960 is not a bad gpu for its price but
That monitor is way too expensive for this build try to balance out by spending similar to your monitor as your gpu
I think that is around a gtx 980 and a 1440p (but not 144hz) monitor and i would say that is a great combo

I really want a 1440p monitor with 144hz. What do you recommend? Also, I really need a good GPU. What do you suggest? The whole monitor not working with Gsync GPUs thing is confusing.

A gtx 960 will not play most games in 1440p 144hz it will only play games like league of legends and the similar very low req moba games if you only want to play thoes than the 960 is fine

if you want to play any aaa game bf4 or sg like that try to buy at least a 980 or 980 ti and than check the monitors
