Question Best graphics card pairing

Just a quick question, what graphics card would be best paired with this CPU?

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66GHz, 2660 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

I currently have a (Adapter Type: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745, NVIDIA compatible) GPU paired with this CPU but I feel like it could be better.

The most you could drop in would be a GTX750Ti but there are known issues where system's lacking UEFI BIOS while a GPU has an UEFI VBIOS end up showing a black screen in spite of the system booting up to the OS GHUI.

IMHO, you're best leaving your system as is.

What about anything that has a single level bracket?

It's very sad saying that because my computer is very much a poorly built proprietary system.

Not knowing a few things like what OS and power supply you have. But a GTX 970 could work on there. Nvidia cards worked longer on older systems than AMD cards that refused to boot without UEFI.

If your looking for a single slot card Quadro's come to mind. I haven't messed with a single slot for about 16 years so not sure good or bad models.

Windows 10, 250-300 I think.

Also the very poor and very weak system I'm using is none other than the Dell Optiplex 745, mostly OEM still.

I don't know if I could really put anything in here without getting a new power supply, bustin out the angle grinder, and hope my bad luck won't strike again (which it will).

Yeah not much upgrade path there sorry. Maybe those Dell OEM cards from 2013-2018 that ebay has boat loads of. There small have 4 Gb's of memory and don't need external power. I will see if I can link for you.

I could potentially get away with adding in a riser cable without having to absolutely destroy the case, but I've seen that they have display issues along with them.
