I agree as this is by far the best card in the price range and it's really not even close. it greatly outperforms the similarly priced 750ti. I got one recently and it's a monster of a card for the price. If you wanna save a little more depending on what your doing you can even get the 270 for closer to 150 range and the difference really isn't much especially if you get a OC version and then OC that.

I would be a little careful of the r9 280x for 199$, same card by the popular manufacturers is closer to 300$ and at least 250$. 280 compared to 270x is not much different it's like comparing the 270 to the 270x. the specs are very very close with basically more stream processors and higher clock speeds. It does look like though pretty much everyone does agree that the 270x is the best.

Is the best...how exactly? The 280x is better than the 270x, that's why it has an "8" instead of a "7" there. Granted, that's a low price for a 280x, but PowerColor is just a tad under other manufacturers, and I've seen their products get good reviews before.

As far as new goes, yes, the 270x is the best you're gonna do for $170.

I didn't realize at first that 280x was used / like new. I didn't mean the 270 is better than the 280, but that outside of that one which seemed odd we pretty much all mentioned the same 270x. That card actually had really good reviews on newegg. I started looking to see why is this thing so freaking cheap and then noticed the like new next to it.

Yeah, you find the best deals on Amazon in my opinion.

With so many people over-clocking nowdays I'd be a little worried about the longevity of a used graphic card. And you have no warranty if it dies prematurely. Buyer beware.

It better be one heck of a discount for me to justify those risks.
