best graphics card

I have a hp pavilion p6 - 2364ea wth i5 3330 processor @3.00ghz quad core a joshua-h61-uatx motherboard with a 300 watt power supply...... at the min I got intel hd graphics 2500 just wondering whats the best and cheapest graphics card I could use so I dont damage my pc and to play next gen games..... thanks

you do know "best and cheapest" doesn't really blend well... how much are you willing to spend? does your power supply have 6+2 pci-e lead connector?

If you keep the current 300W PSU, a GTX 750 or 750ti would be the best you can do. Just make sure you don't get one that requires a 6 pin PCIe power lead.

I would go for a nvidia 750ti (http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43751kr). It doesn't need a 6 pin PCIe power lead (very low on power consumption, 45w) and it has pretty decent performance. It would be a huge upgrade from your intel 2500 graphics and at $149.99 its pretty cheap.
