Best Graphics upgrade for my system

I have an AMD 8320 and have a Sapphire R9 290 for graphics, but I'm considering upgrading to a GTX 1070. Curious to know if this is overkill for my processor and\or should I increase my 8gb pf PC2400 RAM to 16gb. I don't want to pay $400 for a graphics card that can't perform to potential. Any ideas or suggestions?

1| Are you talking about the FX-8320 processor from AMD? If so why are you talking about DDR2 ram in that same line? Are you trolling us?!?!
2| If that was a typo, then yeah bumping the ram would do you some benefit but the architecture is miles behind and the best GPU you can drop into it would have to the GTX1060 to avoid bottlenecks from your CPU albeit you're still going to see a bottleneck from the CP{U side.
3| According to the GPU hierarchy chart, you should ideally aim for the GTX1070 but that would require you to switch platforms to realize it's full potential.

Is it possible to parse your existing full system's specs, case, PSU and OS?
