This is an old EVGA 131-GT-E767-TR LGA 1366 SLI3 motherboard with an i7-950 and 12 GB RAM, and I've not done well keeping up with tech since I built it. I have an old GTX 780 in there, now. I would rather like to play Diablo 2 Resurrected.
Would this motherboard support a 1060 or better card?
Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
Generally speaking its not the motherboard you should be asking about since as long as it has a PCIE x16 slot it can use any GPU like even a 4090 or whatever.
The key factors would likely be: CPU (and if you're looking to upgade it), PSU and possibly RAM.
Considering you'd like to play games I'd recommend for that CPU getting a 1050ti as the bottleneck between the CPU and GPU will be less. Swapping down to a 950 or 1030 however will reduce the nottleneck
Low quality settings:
1030 - cpu impact -6.5fps
950 - cpu impact -13.8fps
1050ti - cpu impact - 11.4fps
These days doing a PC build isn't that expensive (will post a build under £750 capable of gaming in a few mins)
