Best GTX 770? (in regards to model & site)

I think I've found which GTX 770 to buy:

Best price I've found ($320 after $10 rebate) for a reliable brand, comes with Watch Dogs, and a reliable site.

I'd just like to know if anyone could link me to a better model/site. After some research I think this is the best considering:

-price
-quality (performance/temperatures/reliability)
-size (smaller is better, this 10.7 x 5.2 card will be an extremely tight fit in my case)
-bonus features (like free Watch Dogs)

I don't care about aesthetics, it will be hidden from view anyways. Thanks for helping me make the best choice.

Note: 2gb VRAM is enough for my 1080p monitor - 4gb would be nice to made headway for when games become more power-intensive, but it is just too expensive for me.

The MSI or Asus versions because they have the best cooling. On a side note, why don't you get a 280 or 280X? It has a much better price to performance ratio

Although I am using a GTX 770 with the current prices I would suggest you buying an R9 290 - it's faster than the GTX 770 in every game plus it comes with 4GB RAM which is always nice to have.

Powercoler brand makes me cringe. Taking a risk there.

Stick to Asus, MSI, EVGA or Gigabyte and you will be safe. Other brands are risky as to if it will be reliable or not.

As for the nvidia vs amd thing, just remember that nvidia cards run MUCH cooler than amd cards and the drivers for nvidia cards are usually better. Plus nvidia has shadowplay which allows you to record gameplay without a big performance hit.

The reviews on that look pretty nasty....

And I personally prefer nvidia over amd, and I've settled in on the 770, just looking for the model/site.

I'm currently using the Asus GTX 770 and it works like a charm for everything. It runs cool, it's quiet, and it's not overly priced. If I were you I'd look at this one and the Gigabyte model. These two seem to have the best graphics cards around.

I prefer the Asus GTX770.
It's got really great customer feedback for RELIABILITY. It's got some high quality parts as well as a BACKPLATE to prevent circuit board flex which can make a card fail by damaging the thin copper traces.

I see no significant reason to get an AMD card. There are benefits to NVidia as well such as:
- PhysX
- G-Sync (needs new monitor but maybe later)
- Streaming (Shield, Steam)
- Recording with Shadowplay (can record/stream Desktop and games with minimal performance loss)

R9-280X vs GTX770:
Someone said the R9-280X was a better value. If it is it's not very significant. If you compare both ASUS versions to be fair the GTX770 is, on average, 2% faster before further overclocking. (The list probably favors NVidia slightly more now as they've done a lot of DX11 enhancements to increase the frame rate in many games.)

There's about a $20 price difference, but the GTX770 currently comes with Watch Dogs which is $60 which you want. It may balance out for total value if we included the cheaper AMD games (picked from a list).

So again, aside from Mantle which I currently feel isn't a huge deal I think the NVidia features I listed are more significant. The R9-280X with the extra VRAM (3GB) is nice to "future proof" and all things being equal I'd go with that card but they aren't equal and it's hard to say if more than 2GB will matter in the near future at this performance level (there's a list of reasons why Video RAM may become LESS significant in the future: streamed Tile Resources, Tessellation, more efficient AA etc.).

Game coders are looking very seriously at techniques to reduce the memory footprint, in part due to the consoles fixed memory but mainly it's just due to using much more efficient techniques.
