What is the best gtx 970 model for gaming? I am currently quite interested in the Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 and Asus Strix GTX 970. But feel free to leave a suggestion for another model if you think it is better.

*PLEASE GIVE REASONING*

So, enough teasing the OP I think. It was humorous though. Anyhow, as per the following article, which is about the only relatively thorough comparison of multiple cards, they determined the MSI version was the better card. Assuming that was an accurate summation, I'd have to believe the G1 was the better card, since it wasn't included in that comparison, and in the link I provided above, narrowly beat out the MSI card.

as your suggestions are the gigabyte g1 windforce card = perfect

reason:

has 3 fans keeping the gpu cool constantly no problems with overheating and well rounded and perfectly clocked card

hope this helps :)

The G1 and EVGA SC ACX 2.0 are the best perfoming GTX 970 models according to all results I've seen.

There are 8 pages of gaming benchmarks here. The G1 gaming beats all other 970's at the time of testing in every single title and even on the synthetic benchmarks. The difference however, was negligible. Given the choice, I'd go with whichever card among the G1, Strix and SC ACX 2.0 that was less expensive at the time.

I haven't seen any reputable reviews of that card since it was re-released. Do you happen to have any links that I may have overlooked?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, and what makes it hard to recommend, there are really no reviews and especially none from reputable sites. That's very unusual for a high end hardware component. Those are really not much more than release pieces, which doesn't give us really anything to go on. No comparisons, benchmarks or overall considerations. I wish somebody would review that model for the sake of comparison.
