Best HDD To Buy

I need a 2tb HDD
Is the Seagate Barracuda 2tb 7200rpm one good, or does it fail? I know WD is the best but their WD Blue 2tb is in 5400rpm

What is the best option for a HDD? Thanks. (Storing games, pictures, videos, documents, music, etc on it. OS is on my SSD)

Seagate is not so reliable.
Some wd blue is 5400, some 7200; the line has merged with green.

WD red might be the one for you.

What's so bad about Seagate? I figured since the majority on PCPartPicker uses them, they must be decent.

Not truly bad.
Partpicker just looks at prices and specs.
It is hard to find valid reliability figures.

I nthe article I linked Pugent systems claims a <1% failure rate with WD.
