Best Headset for under £80

Hey everyone,

I've recently been getting back into PC gaming again and feel i need a better headset for my late night / morning sessions. I'm currently using an old turtle beach X11.

Now i have an xonar dx soundcard so although a usb headset is an option i would ideally be looking to put my soundcard to use.

I've done a bit of research on the headset topic and it appears theres a lot of debate on whether to go for true surround sound or virtual. Personally i dont mind as long as the sound quality is good.

I'm currently looking at the following headsets:

It looks good on paper but i still cant decide ^_^

Analog inputs are a bonus as i can use it with my soundcard but will it really matter with a headset ? Is there a noticeable difference to a USB headset which have soundcards built in ? The other thing is my xonar dx is getting on a bit so the technology in these usb soundcards may be better ?

Comfort is obviously a big selling point for the kraken but i want something with decent sound too and i'm a bit wary of the kraken as various reviews say its very bass driven and poor on the low frequencies.

Nope Kraken does actually sound better. And if you have a soundcard, and a GOOD headset like this one it will do the job. This is a bit too expensive in your budget but its too damn good for gaming. Even take a look at this headset.

Thanks miit after a lot of research i have decided to get the kraken as suggested by you. Other than the corsair and siberia there isnt really a lot of other choice and i dont feel like spending anymore on a pair of headphones.
