Guys, still kinda new to the site. I really want the best advantage possible while online gaming, especially in fps games. I want the best setup out there. I just need some opinions. I have heard of people buying a certain headset and a different brand equalizer.... what out there is the best setup available??

Solution
Keyboard and mouse is all up to personal preference, whatever you are most comfortable and familiar with (excluding just very poor quality components) will give you the best experience. A general good pair of audiophile headphones would be much better than a gaming headset as well.

The biggest advantage you can get is practice and familiarity.
After many failures over the years, I gave up on hyped-up gaming headsets. Currently, I use a pair of Philips SHP9500S Over-Ear Headphones (amazing budget audiophile cans) and a generic clip-on mic.

When I'm not gaming I want excellent cans for those loud rock n' roll sessions that make my ears bleed.

I'd say, get a good, comfortable pair of headphones and a separate mic. You can go the budget route and get something cheaper like the Audio Technica M30x and clip/zip tie a Zalman ZM1 on there, or one up that with M50x or Fosteks or AKG's or Sennheisers (whatever good sounding headphones tickles your fancy) and stick an AntLion ModMic on there. It'll sound way better than any headset. Open back design headphones will certainly help with the soundstage, although it may irritate sensitive neighbors/roommates.

I've also heard good things about the HyperX Cloud headsets or whatever they're called. I personally didn't like them. If you can try before you buy, the Razer Kraken V2's are also probably worth a try. I hated the V1's, but I hear a lot of improvements were made to the V2's. They're pretty pricey though.

Personally, I'm using the older ATH-M30 with a ZM1 zip tied to it (included clips gave out) through a cheap $5 USB to audio thing just to ensure the voltage needed to run the ZM1 properly.

Then there is the Subpac...
