Best i3?

I'm looking to build a PC for my mom an I want to go with an i3, but there is just too many dang i3s..2100..2100T..2105..I'm at a lost.

which is the latest i3? is there a 2nd gen i3? sorry for the stupid question.

i3 2100T has 2.5 core clock and 35w TDP. If the pc is for your mom, then a i3 2100T should be good enough. In fact, any current i3 should suffice. If she likes to watch blu-ray then go with i3 2105, it has better graphics.

if its for your mum, just get an i3 2100, she will be happy with that.

All the i3s starting with 2 are second generation the 2100 is the cheapest and as good a CPU as any other the 2100T is lower power and lower performance the 2105 has intel 3000 series graphics instead of 2000.
