Gaming mainly Seige, Ark, F1. Which build would you recommend for a teenager?
A) i7-7700k, gtx1080 £1000
B) i7-8700, gtx1070ti £1200
C) i7-7400, gtx1070 £750
Also what resolution monitor to get
24" IPS/TN HD
27" IPS/TN 4K WQHD
32" IPS / VA 4K
What monitor would you recommend Budget £200-£400? Refresh rate to go for?

I’d go for the 7700k and 1080 with a 144hz 1440p monitor if given just these choices.

Even the 1080 struggles at 4K so if you’re deadset on 4K the cheapest CPU won’t hold you back. Imo 1440p 27” is the perfect size/resolution for a PC monitor

if you go 120/144/160hz 1440p you will have to get one with gsync and that will be more than your price range for anything decent, if you can find a good price then get one of these. Otherwise get a 1080p 240hz, or a 60hz 1440p you can find in your price range. I would not get a 4k monitor

Thanks - so 4k is fir the next Pc purchase.

I listed 3 builds ...is there another build which would enable at least 3 year useful life for gaming within approximately £1k budget?
Is the 7700k + 1080( with water cooler, 512 GB SSD, 2tb HDD, mobo z270, reasonable at this price point ?

7700k with 1080, I would rather get the NH-D15 than water cooling. more quiet, cools at least just as good but usually better, and is a lot more reliable. As long as it has clearance to fit. That would be good
