Best i7 OC'ing motherboard

Hi, I 'm looking for a decent motherboard to give the best Crossfire X and OC'ing results.

This is the setup I'm planning to build:

-3*2GB Corsair 2000MhZ Dominator GT
-i7 920 D0 @ 4GhZ+ (TRUE-Copper with 56 dB fan which outperforms practically any high-end watersetups I've ever seen...)
-ATI HD 4870x2 which I already got and a 5870x2 in crossfire X once it gets released this summer
(-Possibly a RAID setup, dunno yet)
-Motherboard X =p
-1KW PSU which I already got as well

About the motherboard you guys were talking about, how would it perform if I were to set up a Crossfire-X setup on this one? What about the cooler I'm using atm?

That board is not for general use.

Absolutely love my P6T deluxe v2, worked perfectly out of the box and handles CF and all my OCing very well. Definitely not the top of the market but I dont think the extra expenditure is justifiable, CF works fine and my cpu is bound on air under 3.8-4ghz so buying a more expensive mobo wouldnt do anything and I am not in need of any more features.

However can you tell my why you need ddr3 2000mhz ram on a i7? Just was looking at my ddr3 1600 patrior viper kit which OC's comfortably to 1800mhz but even at that frequency Id need to be running best part of 5ghz to actually need that kind of head room provided im using a 6 or even x8 ram multi. Correct me if im wrong (good chance i am!) but say you have a x21 CPU multi and BCLK of 200 = 4.2Ghz OC but then using a x6 ram multi =DDR3 1200mhz or x8 = 1600mhz and thus still well within 2000mhz or 1800 or even ddr3 1600 for that matter. It comes down to is it even possible to get an OC out of a i7 that justfies needing DDR3 2000?

Does that make sense? as I say im sure theres something ive missed but yea

You will not be able to take advantage of the features the board offers.

But read the review, and judge for yourself who the board is designed for, and what it can do.

Hey belochka have a look at msi eclipse sli. It's awesome board with really cool features and you'll be able to overclock your i7 to 4ghz with ease and EVGA x58 sli is also excelent board for overclocking and really more stable.

Got nothing to back this up but off the top of my head I remember when researching with for my mobo that MSI ecplise suffered from stability issues or poor OCing so I think the EVGA board would be better out of those 2, but dont take my word for that as I could be wrong.

Whatever you do dont get an XFX x58i, I had to RMA 2 of them before I gave up and paid the extra for my p6t deluxe@

Yes you are right eclipse was suffering with the stability issue but with new bios it is very stable now and evga it is also a very awesome board especially classified, it's for those guys who really love overclocking and it got a 4 pci-e 16x slot.

And also MSI Eclipse and p45 platinum ddr3 were the official overclocking board for tom's hardware overclocking championship. Was also proven to be best for overclocking. Also see the no. of awards it won on this link
