I in no Way, Shape, Matter, or Form no anything about Video Cards. All I need is something inexpensive that will allow me to play Chess on mainly pogo. I watch fb movies my friends post and play chess on line. that is about it. My computer got fried by lightening. I can not go buy a brand new one anymore. must budget. Go one from someone who builds them. Has enough for what I need except the video card is Radean ATi or something like that.
I just want one >$70 if this is possible for Chess. I have Window 7
Thanks

The GT 210 Silent has 3 advantages if you are not a serious gamer:
1) No FAN - no fan failures. It runs cool and quiet. It is great for HTPCs and low end PCs.
2) Very low power - any PSU you have will work.
3) It works on virtually any computer built in the last 10 years - plus it has drivers that work for everything from Windows XP - Windows 10 and all flavors of Linux (I have not tested this card on MAC OS).

If you play games that mention "FPS" - you don't want this card. I play quite a few games online with the card - it performs as well as my GTX 750ti (a $170 GPU). I also play Roller Coaster Tycoon 1, 2 & 3 that has a lot of 3D rendering - and again, the 210 works just as well as my 750ti. Videos are the same....

Virtually any video card will work for playing games on Pogo and Facebook. I use an ASUS Geforce 210 Silent - I have them in two PCs - one is my HTPC (runs Windows Media Center and programs like Netflix, MLB.TV, etc..., the second is my test computer - it is running Windows 10 preview. Both work great.

It is also 1/2 the price you were looking for....a big plus - it doesn't use a fan, so the fan can't go bad.

Windows 7 professional hp system,
Dual core Pentium processor @ 2.0ghz,
80gb hard drive, 1.5gb of ram, cd & dvd player,
Microsoft office suite, anti virus, maleware,
and firewall protection,
fully loaded and updated system !

I bought the same card 2 years ago except it was 200$ and it was refurbished and I still have till this day and still works fine the card does not use a lot of power so basically a 400watt psu can run it

I got it from a man who builds, rebuilds, upgrades computer for people who just do Word, Excel, Mail and such. I told him I play chess on line. He usually doesn't do graphic I found out after. While playing chess on pogo screen goes black then comes back on stating Radeon ATI family or something like that has recovered.
I do Word, PowerPoint, Excel, fb with videos people post, YouTube, and Chess...this is most of what I do.

Download Stockfish (chess) . The best or the second best chess in the world . It s still free . Houdini and Rybka are good too . i love them all .

I play a lot on Pogo and Facebook - and haven't encountered any issues with the card. It just works. If you were to say you wanted to play a new game at 60FPS - I would not recommend the card....but anything else - it is great.
