Do you currently have a motherboard with LGA 775 socket ?
because the fastest 775 CPU available may not work in your motherboard

well i had the beast q 9550 n no regreats.. n the actual owner no regreats also..

i also have ofr mining PIRL a q 6600 and sometimes i play steam on it and all fine..

im not sure but those support 8gb ram but im using only 6... ty

i guess the higher the numbers are the better they are. But do make sure before buying a processor, to check your processor chipset specifications to see the processors it can support. And continue from there.

i would like to know what motherboard you have, so i can suggest the right processor that might workout for you
