Hi,

I have been stressed looking for a keyboard over the last few days for my new desktop build and now I am stumped.
All the brands like Corsair and Razer are overpriced, + all the reviews I see on them are people complaining about the LEDs stop working after a while and the keys also stop working after a while.
I am looking for a comfortable gaming keyboard that can make both typing and gaming comfortable and not a stress on the wrists. It also needs to last a few years....
Anyone have any ideas?
Also please don't mention Razor/Razer or however you spell the brand name, as I have seen and read enough comments to keep me clear of it.

Any insight you can offer will be very helpful.

The size of your hand and the way you position your wrists can vary enough to make someone's 'comfortable' keyboard a nightmare for you.

You should go down to a PC/accessories store to physically check if the keyboards are of the right size/height and have a wristpad you like.

All I know for sure is that if you are resting your elbows on a hard surface while typing, your hand is probably positioned at an angle to the keyboard. In that case you might want to get an ergonomic keyboard. Those are very distinct keyboards because each half of the keys are angled to the left and right corners.
My only input here is to look at mechanical keyboards but there's a little more to it than just that. Mechanical keyboards have different types of keys which have different properties, here's a somewhat helpful guide http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/official-mechanical-keyboard-guide and another http://lifehacker.com/how-to-choose-the-best-mechanical-keyboard-and-why-you-511140347
The only disadvantage I am aware of when looking at mechanical keyboards is price, starting at about $75, they are not cheap (one of mine was $200). Some of the less expensive mechanical keyboards available that I like are the CoolerMaster "Storm" series
Hope it helps some

Hi There,

Thanks for the suggestion, but its not so much about getting a keyboard that will make me play better as it is about getting one that will be comfortable on the wrists.
