I would stay away from wireless keyboards. Not only do they need charging, but they're not secure - someone could relatively easily hack into the keyboard-to-computer signal and record your keystrokes. You could lose your identity pretty easily that way. And by lose I mean have it stolen.

The Logitech G15 is pretty much the best gamer's keyboard available, but it's sort of expensive at around $70 from newegg.com. And I actually preferred the feel of my $15 Nexxtech Office keyboard to that of the G15 - but keyboards are a personal decision. Go try a few in stores to see which you like best.

This is the best keyboard money can buy... but you'll need alot.

It has individually weighted keys, and there are no letters/numbers on the keys. its for people who already know where the keys are.

I prefer the Microsoft natural ergonomic 4000. Its a lot easier on my wrists then any of the straight keyboards. I haven't seen any companies that offer a good competing product in the ergonomic style, though I may have just not looked hard enough.

Also, I don't like wireless. Beyond all the hastles of wireless, batteries, etc, they are an open invitation to people who want to know what you're typing. Worse, they can allow hackers to get into you computer, steal information, identities, know everyplace you wander, and other bad news.

Logitech G15 and Saitek Eclipse are both great keyboards. I think Logitech has a wireless version.

But check this one out and I don't think it's out yet.

I use a wireless keyboard on my backup system for convenience sometimes, and it is definitely less than perfect. There is lag, and the occasional dropped character. If you're gaming, I wouldn't go wireless.

The best keyboard I ever owned was the Northgate 104 I bought for my '286 years ago. It had a wonderful click to it I haven't been able to find since. It never misclicked, bounced, or had any other problems. I think a bad spill may have finally killed it.

I use the saitek eclipse. Great key response, good lighting, like the "flat" configuration of the saitek boards.

also use the saitek pro gamer command unit, and fps pad similar to the belkin nostromo. Love it, and between the two I think saitek just makes good products. (check out their joysticks if you are ever in the market for one)

HOLY SH!T, I've got to have that keyboard.... the keys on my G15 are wearing off and I'm too lazy to RMA, know what the keys are anyway so what's the point?

My wife would kill me though... probably $300 keyboard (if not more).

I like that super cheap, super thin, Walmart keyboard you get for $9, with or without the mouse. It goes by multiple brands, but I think Wal-Mart's is called Micro Innovations. It's so flimsy it's funny. I actually like using it though. I have one installed on the K6-2 system.

I have a Logitech wireless KB and mouse. Good stuff, very satisfied. Bought it last year from Newegg for around $45 after rebate.

I know man, but can you imagine how much would this keyboard cost? I mean all the keys are LCD and are programmable and can be loaded with any images you want. This is an innovation for the keyboard.

I use the saitek Eclipse for my gaming rig. Very nice keyboard, responsive and good at preventing ghosting.

Definatly worth considering.

i should hope by now that you have bought a new keyboard but if for some reason you still haven't then listen here.

If your gaming don't get a wireless keyboard or mouse as they will only add latency and the mouse is heavy as a lead brick. Alot of people may say that you can't tell the difference between a wireless mouse and keyboard and a regular USB mouse and keyboard. This may be true if your lucky but then your probably not that much of a gamer either. All you have to do is add a little obsticle between your keyboard and the receiver and you can see the effect on keystrokes. Anyhow, I recomend the Saitek Eclypse along with a few of the other posts. It is compfortable, it has a soft keystroke and it has decent backlighting for when you play in a darkened room.
