Best laptop for gaming

Hi all,

Found some laptops, now was just wondering which would be the best for gaming, mainly just going to be playing Strategy games and older games on it.

The first one you listed, the MSI GP70 2PE, has a dual core Intel CPU with hyperthreading, making it a decent performer for tasking. The Nvidia 840M graphics will do well for light to medium gaming. The rest of the specs and a 17.3" screen make it my choice, from your list.

The 840m wouldn't perform to well. Although you said you played older games, It would have a bad performance on newer games so just keep that in mind.

I would say out of the ones you have listed the acer wins as it has the most powerful gpu. The ssd should make the os feel fast and the 1tb hdd should be enough for your game. This should be able to play all the games you like on high settings

This will depend on the exact games but I assume you won't be playing the latest games that have just been released.

Think I'm gonna go for the first one as I'm mainly going to play oldish games and strategy stuff, would the 840m play the old GTA's like Vice City, San Andreas? They came out like in 2003/2004 and possibly games that came out upto around 2008/9? Like the first Bioshock?

OP, I would personally go with the first laptop choice. Great for the price. The 840M would definitely handle Bioshock and GTA: Vice City!
