Hi,
I had to take in my previous laptop to Harvey Norman due to the laptop malfunctioning and as it was under warranty they gave me a credit of $1300 to purchase a new laptop from them. I have been looking around and I have found two which seems appropriate for school and university but I would like to see what you guys think. I want something that has enough battery life to last the day but also have good performance, I would prefer touch as well as something light-weight and compact.

I am willing to pay extra to get something that would last throughout my educational endeavors, I am also thinking about the Asus Zenbook but that would be the highest price I would go.

Asus Zenbook UX433FN-A5037T 14-inch Laptop

If you have any ideas of which laptop I should get please let me know even if it is not listed above. Thanks.

MacBook Air 256GB 1900. Use the 1300 credit and pay the rest off monthly. Isn’t a better thin and light around, will last ages and you don’t have to deal with windows or pay for office, plus it comes with a lot of good software that PCs just don’t.

yeah, for school, you want as good, thin and light a laptop as you can get that doesn't skimp on performance.

Thanks for your message LordVile but I prefer a device with windows as I have used windows throughout my life and would not like to change to an operating system I am not familiar with. I am also not a fan of the apple laptops. If you have any other laptops you recommend from Harvey Norman please let me know. Thanks

Honestly MacOS is very intuitive and easy to use, I’ve only used it briefly but picked it up in less than a week after getting my MacBook. And every time I use a windows laptop I’m trying to do the gestures from the MacBook. May I ask why you’re not a fan, just curious.

Look at the surface laptop 2. Probably what if go for if MacBooks weren’t available. Good trackpad as far as windows laptops go, excellent keyboard and good screen.
