Best laptop processor

Which is best for running AutoCAD software and possible light online gaming, AMD8 or Intel i5?

i7 cpu's or exion's
for autocad what is your field - if it is 2D then any consuming Vedio card
but if you work 3D then Quadro or gtx 580

I think the engineers I work with, that have laptops for cad work, all use i7's. I am not sure what the GPU is in them. Most likely just the Intel HD graphics that is on the CPU.

I am an architecture/interior design student. The software is the AutoCAD Design Suite.

If I am not mistaken, Autocad does use the GPU. If that is indeed the case, I would go with the AMD most likely.

Defiantly the the i5, the integrated graphics on the i5 aren't to the standard of the a8 but the i5 is nearly 2x faster in doing most processes. For gaming the A8 would be better but the i5's intergrated graphics can still play games like crysis 2 (on low)

i5 for sure. a10 is approximately equal (generally worse when you consider everything) vs an i3. i5 is faster and a8 is slower. graphics are much more similar between the two considering the a8 only has 256 shaders vs the 384 of the a10.

Thanks, was that A8 shaders, 256 vs 384 of the A10? (or did you mean vs the Intel i5?)
